1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Kazi Customer App you agree to these terms. We may update them; material changes may be notified in-app.
2. Who we are
Kazi Couriers (Pty) Ltd, CIPC 2026/384369/07, Polokwane, Limpopo. See our privacy policy.
3. What Kazi is
Kazi is a technology platform that connects customers with independent-contractor drivers for parcel delivery and rides (e-hailing) in South Africa. Kazi does not itself carry out deliveries or rides.
4. Eligibility
- You must be 16 or older.
- You must have an SA mobile number for OTP sign-in.
- Services are available where Kazi currently operates.
5. Ordering and pricing
- Prices and fees shown at checkout apply to that order and are recorded at placement.
- Estimated times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
- Once a driver is assigned, an order may not be cancellable except at Kazi's discretion.
6. Payment
- Kazi is cash only. You pay the driver directly, in cash, when the trip or the delivery is complete. There is no card checkout in the app, and Kazi never collects or stores card details.
- If Kazi introduces an electronic payment method, these Terms will be updated to name the provider before that method goes live.
- Prices include VAT where applicable.
7. Refunds
Refund requests are assessed case by case. Raise them through in-app help as soon as possible. Refunds, where appropriate, are made to your original payment method. See the Refund & Dispute Policy.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use the platform unlawfully, order restricted goods for a minor, harass drivers or merchants, attempt fraud (including chargebacks on goods received as described), or reverse-engineer or scrape the apps. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Service and liability
The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
As a platform, Kazi is not responsible for the acts or omissions of merchants or independent-contractor drivers, including goods quality or driver conduct. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kazi's liability is limited. Nothing in these terms limits any right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or POPIA that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete my account.
- Kazi may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, fraud, or abuse.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
