What the Information Officer does
Under POPIA s.55(1), the Information Officer is responsible for:
- Encouraging compliance with POPIA across Kazi.
- Dealing with requests made to Kazi under POPIA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
- Working with the Regulator on investigations conducted under POPIA Chapter 6.
- Maintaining Kazi's personal-information impact assessments and compliance framework.
- Notifying you and the Regulator of any qualifying data breach affecting your information, as required by POPIA s.22.
